It has been a weekend filled with terrible movies. Wait, does that mean KC is my lucky charm when it comes to movies? Damn it. This is not good news.
KC and his friend R are minion fans... so much so that they keep spamming me on fb with the minion stickers. While I don't even remember them from Despicable Me. We wanted to watch this movie but there has not been enough time. I watched it on Friday evening alone.

The penguins were hilarious in the 3 parts of Madagascar. In fact, there were the only bright spots in the last movie which I did not like. I am so glad they now have their own movie.

I wanted to watch this flick since I first saw the trailer.
Big Hero 6 is a 3D Disney movie based on a Marvel comics character.
Hiro is a child genius at 14 who is into robot fighting which wins him money. His older brother, Tadashi, studies robotics at university. He takes Hiro to his lab and introduces him to his friends and professor. Hiro is very, very impressed and decides to apply at the university by exhibiting his robot at the exhibition. He has designed microbots which can do anything and everything and are controlled by a neurological transmitter. His project impresses the professor and he is offered a seat in the university. It also impresses the owner of a robotics company, Alistair Krei. But Hiro refuses to sell the microbots to Krei.

Anita kept recommending this movie... and I decided to watch it today. The print was quite good and I can imagine how great it would have been in the theatre.
The movie is not the usual animated story where everyone finds love in the end. Sure, everyone does find love and the villain is eliminated... but it is about the love between sisters and not just between lovers.

I missed this movie in the theatre and was lucky enough to find a good print online so soon.
Just to recap- Monsters, Inc was part 1. Monsters have a 'scare' factory where in they visit children at night and scare them. The children's screams get converted to city's power. Mike (the one eyed monster) and Sully (the furry one) come into contact with a kid and realize that kids are harmless. In the end, they start entertaining kids since their laughter generates more energy.
