Piku

I was intrigued by this movie's trailer. Irrfan and Deepika are a different pair and yet I could sense the chemistry between them. Who knew?

After reading Raja Sen's review on rediff.com giving it 5 stars, the tickets were booked. We reached the movie 10 mins late even by PVR's late standard because my trainer wouldn't let me leave the TRX class 5-10 mins earlier (and I wasn't too keen on missing biceps curls anyway) and there was traffic at every road in Gurgaon.

Happy New Year

I watched Happy New Year last night... not in the theatre. There are some actors who generally plays themselves or a version of their character in every movie - Salman, Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh... I do not spend money on their movies. I cannot give my money to someone who assumes am dumb.
To get through the movie I did a twitter review and that is what am going to post here.

Finding Fanny

I watched this flick last weekend but have taken my own sweet time to write the review. Because I have been ill.. and lazy... and not sure what to write.
The movie stars Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Arjun Kapoor.

Chennai Express

This is one movie I wish I hadn't watched. It is going to give me nightmares tonight. Thankfully, I didn't watch it in the theatre. I was determined not to watch it in theatre.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

Thank god I started this blog... actually, you guys should appreciate it. I read mixed bag of reviews and decided to go ahead and watch it. Why do critics become so critical? Do I care about their intellectual opinion? Can every movie be intellectualized?

I have a simple rule- any movie with Ranbir in it can be watched in the theatre. His worst movie is better than most. Deepika is hot... she is the hottest actress right now. Her acting skills vary but they are decent enough. Kalki is always good... and I have heard Aditya (I haven't seen any other flicks) is good. Farooque Sheikh is a pleasure to watch... it was nice to see Poorna but her accent was weird, her acting looked put on... Kunal Roy Kapoor is so damn cute... Evelyn Sharma is awesome in her role.
Thankfully, the movie does justice to the fabulous cast.
